A somewhat squat shape with a green background and a red-orange cheek. Pleasant and refreshing dessert apple; not too sweet, not too tart. Ripens in mid-late fall.

Originated in PA in the early 1800’s. Vigorous growing tree, bears young and somewhat annually. Branches have a nice willowy appearance.
