Appearances and Uses:
Long bloom period from late summer into fall, with large clusters of small white flowers. Grows up to 4ft. Excellent food source for late pollinators and the leaves are host to many caterpillar species. Source of seed for birds in the winter as well.
Growing Conditions:
Sun/Part shade, moist soils. Meadows and roadsides. All asters easily self-sow and benefit from dividing every 4-5 years.
